馬可福音 5:1-20
各位平安，我們接下來要一起來讀《馬可福音》第五章的故事。第五章一共包含了三個彼此相關、卻又各自獨立的小故事。而這三個故事，其實都指向同一件事情——人處在極度絕望、被隔絕的狀態之中，而耶穌的介入，徹底改變了他們的生命。
我們可以一個一個來看。
第一個故事，是第五章一到二十節，關於一個被鬼附的人。這個人因為被鬼附，早已失去了正常的社會生活。他無法與人同住，無法與家人正常相處，只能住在墳墓裡，被鎖鍊捆綁，又不斷地傷害自己。他完全被社會隔離，也被人視為危險、可怕、不值得接近的人。他的人生，可以說是徹底的絕望。
第二個故事，是血漏的婦人。這位婦人因為長期的疾病，身體一直處在流血的狀態。而在當時的猶太文化與律法之中，婦人流血被視為不潔淨的。因此，這十二年來，她不只是身體痛苦，更是被宗教規範與社會制度所隔離。她不能正常參與宗教生活，也不能與人自由來往。她是一個被宗教規矩、被社會眼光推到邊緣的人。
第三個故事，則是管會堂的人——睚魯——他的女兒死了。這代表的是人類最無法跨越的一道鴻溝：死亡。死亡意味著徹底的隔離，生與死之間的斷裂，是任何人都無法靠自己跨越的界線。當一個人死去，我們與他之間，彷彿被永遠隔開。
在這三個故事裡，我們看到三種不同的隔離：一個人，被邪靈隔離，與社會斷絕；一個人，被疾病與宗教規範隔離；一個家庭，被死亡隔離。
而耶穌，正是在這三種最深、最無力、最無法跨越的隔離之中，一次又一次地介入，顯明祂的權柄與憐憫。祂要讓我們知道：沒有任何一種隔離、沒有任何一種絕望、沒有任何一種黑暗，能夠阻擋祂的同在，也沒有任何事情，能夠隔絕祂的愛。
先來看那個被鬼附的人的故事。
耶穌來到格拉森人的地方，遇見了一個被一大群鬼附著的人。如果把這段經文拍成電影，其實會是一個非常驚悚的場景。我們剛剛才讀到，耶穌帶著門徒渡過加利利海，來到湖的另一邊。而這一帶地形特殊，有許多洞穴，這些洞穴在當時是用來埋葬死人的。換句話說，他們是在夜晚來到了一片墳墓區，走進死人居住的地方，然後在那裡遇到了一個被鬼附的人。你可以想像，這根本就像是一部恐怖片的開場。
這個人被鬼附的情況非常嚴重。經文形容，他曾經被鎖鏈捆綁，但卻能把鎖鏈掙斷；他用石頭砍傷自己，卻毫無知覺。這清楚地顯示，附在他身上的鬼不只是一般的邪靈，而是極其強大的存在。
當耶穌問那鬼叫什麼名字時，鬼回答說：「我們名叫群。」在英文聖經裡，這個字被翻譯成 Legion，也就是羅馬軍團的名稱。在當時，一個羅馬軍團大約有六千人。這不是在告訴我們精確的數字，而是在強調：附在這個人身上的，不是一個鬼，而是一大群鬼，一個「軍團」般龐大的勢力。
然而，這些鬼一見到耶穌，就立刻認出祂是誰。他們稱呼耶穌為上帝的兒子，並且懇求祂不要折磨他們。當他們看到附近有一大群豬時，就央求耶穌准許他們進入豬群裡面。耶穌准了他們的請求，結果，那些鬼進入豬群之後，整群豬發瘋似地衝下山坡，掉進海裡淹死了。經文特別記載，那大約有兩千多頭豬。你可以想像，那是一個極其震撼、甚至令人恐懼的畫面。
但就在這樣的混亂之中，那個被鬼附的人，卻恢復了清醒，完全正常了。
接下來，故事出現了一個非常令人深思的轉折。當地的人看到這一切，不但沒有歡喜，反而嚇壞了。他們看見那個從前發瘋、住在墳墓裡的人，如今坐著、穿著衣服、神智清醒，卻感到害怕。他們沒有想要弄清楚事情的真相，也沒有想聽耶穌多說什麼，只是一再地請求耶穌離開他們的地方。
相對地，那個被拯救的人，卻有完全相反的反應。他懇求耶穌，想要跟隨祂，一起離開。但耶穌卻對他說：「你回家去，到你親屬那裡，將主為你所做的是何等大的事，是怎樣憐憫你，都告訴他們。」
於是，這個人回到當地，開始向眾人傳揚耶穌為他所做的一切。他不是十二使徒之一，卻成為那個地區最有力的見證人。因為所有人都認識他，知道他曾經是那個被鬼附、失去理智的人，而如今，他卻能夠恢復正常生活，回到家人中間。這本身，就是一個無法否認、極其真實的福音見證。
當然，有時候也會有人問我一個問題，我其實很常聽到：「牧師，那一群豬不就很可憐嗎？」
好啦，如果你這樣想，我其實也沒有意見，因為這代表你是一個有憐憫心的人。但我們需要把一件事情放在正確的次序裡來看。聖經在這裡要讓我們看見的是：在上帝的眼中，一個人的靈魂，遠遠比世上一切受造之物都更加寶貴。
你會發現，上帝在救恩歷史中所做的一切，幾乎都是圍繞著「人」來進行的。祂所關心的，不是財產的損失，不是經濟的代價，而是那一個被捆綁、被隔絕、被絕望吞噬的人，是否能夠被拯救、被恢復。
所以，當我們問「那些豬怎麼辦」的時候，或許更重要的問題是：你知不知道，你在上帝眼中，到底有多大的價值？耶穌為了你，連自己的生命都捨了。祂不是犧牲了幾頭豬，而是把自己完全交出去，為你走上十字架。若連祂自己的生命都願意為你捨下，又怎麼會捨不得其他一切呢？
因此，在讀這段經文的時候，我們當然可以提出問題，也可以思考細節；但當我們真正明白上帝對你的愛是何等深、何等真實的時候，很多原本看起來重要的次要問題，就會自然退到後面。
這裡其實還有一個很重要、但很容易被忽略的小細節，在第 20 節提到一個地方，叫作「低加波利」（Decapolis）。
那麼，低加波利是什麼地方呢？從歷史與考古研究來看，「低加波利」的意思就是「十座城」。這不是一個小鎮，也不是一個偏僻的鄉村，而是由十個主要城市所組成的一個區域，這些城市大多位於約旦河東岸一帶。
這十座城市，而是相當成熟、完整的城市體系。它們有市議會、有公共建築、有自己的經濟系統，也有相當穩定的社會結構。在政治上，這些城市與羅馬帝國的關係，比較接近一種「自治區」的概念——他們需要向羅馬政府繳稅、提供兵役，但羅馬並不直接在這些城市駐軍，也給了他們相當程度的自由。
因此，低加波利這個區域，深受希臘文化的影響。這裡並不是信仰的真空地帶，恰恰相反，是一個充滿異教信仰的地方。希臘文化本身就是多神信仰，從宙斯開始，還有各式各樣的神祇與宗教實踐。在這十座城市裡，人們早已習慣敬拜各種不同的神。
就在這樣一個文化背景之下，這個曾經被鬼附、被社會隔絕、住在墳墓裡的人，雖然聖經沒有記載他的名字，但他所做的事情，卻和後來的使徒保羅有幾分相似。
耶穌沒有帶他一起離開，也沒有讓他成為十二門徒之一，反而是差派他回到自己的地方去。等於是，耶穌親自把他差遣到低加波利——這個希臘文化濃厚、異教信仰盛行的地方，成為一個為上帝作見證的人。
而且，這個人本身，就是一個無法被忽略的見證。因為在那個地方，所有人都認識他——他就是那個曾經被鬼附、發瘋、被鎖鏈綑綁、住在墳墓裡的格拉森人。但現在，他卻完全好了，成為一個清醒、正常、能夠回到家庭與社會中的人。
正因為大家都認識他的「過去」，所以他的「現在」就顯得格外有力量。他不需要高深的神學論述，也不需要長篇大道理，他只需要講一件事：主為我做了什麼。而這樣的見證，成為影響當地文化、衝擊當地信仰的一個重要轉折點。你會發現，上帝常常使用的，不是最完美的人，而是那些被祂徹底翻轉過的人。也正是在這樣的地方、這樣的人身上，福音開始生根、發芽。
這提醒我們一件非常重要的事情：並不是只有成為牧師、傳道人，才是為主作見證的方式；也不是只有站上講台、進入全職服事，才能宣揚福音。耶穌在這裡清楚地告訴我們，為主作見證，並不只發生在教會裡，也不只發生在講道台上。事實上，我們每一個人在自己的日常生活中，對我們的家人、親屬、朋友、同事，甚至是我們所處的社群，本身就擁有最真實、也最有力的見證空間。你所走過的路、你被上帝翻轉的生命，正是那些最靠近你的人最容易看見、也最容易被觸動的地方。
今日屬靈反思
你的屬靈環境是怎麼樣的呢？上帝把你放在這樣的環境裡，要你怎麼去做見證呢？
你是否也有過像這個人一樣的請求，想要跟隨耶穌，但是耶穌卻要你“你回家去，到你的親屬那裏，將主為你所做的是何等大的事，是怎樣憐憫你，都告訴他們。“

Peace be with you.Today we are going to read the story in Mark chapter 5.
This chapter contains three connected but separate stories.At first glance, they may seem different, but they all point to the same truth:people trapped in deep despair, completely cut off from others—until Jesus steps in and changes everything.
Let’s look at them one by one.
Three Stories, One Message
The first story, in verses 1 to 20, is about a man possessed by demons.
Because of the demons, this man could no longer live a normal life.He could not stay with his family.He could not live in the community.He was forced to live among the tombs, bound with chains, hurting himself.
People were afraid of him.They avoided him.He was completely isolated—a man without hope.
The second story is about the woman who had been bleeding for twelve years.
Because of her illness, she was considered unclean under Jewish law.That meant she was cut off from normal religious life and social life.For twelve years, she lived in pain, shame, and loneliness.
She was not just sick—she was pushed to the edge of society by religious rules and social judgment.
The third story is about Jairus, a synagogue leader, whose daughter died.
This story represents the deepest separation of all: death.Death is the one barrier no human being can cross by themselves.Once someone dies, they are completely separated from the living.
In these three stories, we see three kinds of separation:
A man separated from society by demons
A woman separated by illness and religious rules
A family separated by death
And in all three situations, Jesus steps in.
Jesus shows us that no separation is too deep,no darkness is too strong,and no despair is beyond His love.
The Man Freed from Demons
Let’s look more closely at the first story.
Jesus arrives in the region of the Gerasenes.If this scene were turned into a movie, it would feel like the opening of a horror film.
Jesus and His disciples had just crossed the Sea of Galilee.This area was filled with caves used as tombs.In other words, they arrived at night in a graveyard—and there they met a man possessed by demons.
This man was incredibly dangerous.Chains could not hold him.He broke them apart.He hurt himself with stones and felt no pain.
When Jesus asked the demon its name, it replied, “Legion.”In Roman times, a legion meant thousands of soldiers.This tells us the man was not possessed by one demon, but many.
Yet the moment they saw Jesus, the demons recognized Him.They knew He was the Son of God.They begged Him not to torment them.
When they saw a large herd of pigs nearby, they asked to enter them.Jesus allowed it.The pigs rushed into the sea and drowned—about two thousand of them.
It was terrifying to witness.
But in the middle of that chaos, something beautiful happened:the man was restored.
He was calm.He was dressed.He was fully in his right mind.
Rejected by the Town, Chosen by Jesus
Here comes a surprising moment.
Instead of celebrating, the people were afraid.They asked Jesus to leave.
They did not want to understand.They did not want to listen.They simply wanted Him gone.
But the healed man reacted very differently.He begged Jesus to let him follow Him.
Yet Jesus said no.
Instead, Jesus told him:
“Go home to your family and tell them how much the Lord has done for you.”
So the man went back and began telling everyone what Jesus had done.
He was not one of the twelve disciples.But he became a powerful witness.
Everyone knew who he used to be.And now they could see who he had become.
His life itself was the message.
“What About the Pigs?”
Some people ask, “Pastor, weren’t the pigs innocent?”
That’s a fair question. It shows compassion.
But Scripture is teaching us something important here:a human soul is worth more than anything else in creation.
Jesus gave His own life for people. If He was willing to give Himself for you,how much more does your life matter to Him?
When we understand how deeply God loves us,many smaller questions fall into place.
Sent Back, Not Sent Away
There’s one more detail we should not miss. After being healed, this man wanted to leave with Jesus. But Jesus sent him back home.
This reminds us of something important: You don’t need to be a pastor or preacher to share the gospel. You don’t need a stage or a microphone.
Your home.Your family.Your friends.Your daily life.
That is where your testimony is strongest.
Jesus doesn’t only send people into ministry — He also sends people back into their lives, to tell others what He has done.
